Chef Don John Sta Maria

Chef Don John was appointed Head Chef at Sage Restaurant on 1 December 2020. His previous stints include the likes of Cilantro Restaurant & Wine Bar, MiCasa Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and The Spread kitchen at The Gardens Hotel, with his last posting at Le Petit Chef, Kuala Lumpur. With over 18 years of culinary experience under his belt, Chef Don John’s inventive dishes and refined cooking are what keep diners coming back for more. His mantra to exquisite food? Incredibly fresh ingredients.

Restaurant Manager

With almost three decades working in the F&B service industry, Sophian, fondly known as Yann, comes to Sage Restaurant having established a successful career in several of KL’s well-established hotel and restaurants. Prior to joining Sage Restaurant, he was part of a pioneering team that helmed the business growth of a renowned fine-dining restaurant for six years where he made his name. Living by this saying: “Your personality and smile is your business card; the way you make people feel becomes your trademark.”, Yann’s priority is that at the end of the meal, all guests and diners leave the restaurant happy and satisfied.

About The Restaurant

Take advantage of the high ceilings and abundance of natural light in the multifaceted dining area that’s suitable for casual catch-ups, romantic dinners or formal client meetings. Its sprawling dining hall fits a total of 60 persons with social distancing observed while leaving enough breathing room in between.

Two newly renovated private dining room each offers a quite elegance that allows you to wine and dine, entertain and celebrate in your own space: Room 1 spacious enough to accommodates 10 to 20 persons, . Room 2 sits 6 to 10 persons comfortably, overlooking to our mini-Japanese garden.

Special occasions or specific dietary requirements can be pre-arranged through tailored menu by calling the restaurant in advance to accommodate your needs.
